No. 55: Gilead
This post is better late than never, right? We are moving in two days and I'm packing all.my.stuff. I have whittled it down, but there is still too much!
In that spirit, I have a book to offer: Gilead, by Marilynne Robinson. It's the winner of the Pulitzer Prize, a bestseller, and altogether a magnificent book, from what I understand. Yet I have not managed to read it. I adored Robinson's Housekeeping and mulled over it for days, but every time I try to read Gilead, I end up doing something else. Even though I actually like what I've read in the first third of the book, I don't have the time to finish it.
Here's where you come in: this book is sitting unloved and unread on my shelf, and I am giving it away. All you need to do to get a chance is leave a comment telling me about a book you've meant to read and haven't gotten to yet. I'll choose a winner via random.org on Sunday the twenty-third and announce it in Monday's blog post. Be sure to leave me a way to contact you!
p.s. Follow me on instagram to see what book I give away next week as soon as I pick it! I'm @liltoiloflove.
*edit: I forgot the time I'll actually close the entries. Enter by Sunday at 9 pm EST.
