why untitled, unwritten?

I once labeled everything before it was written, until I found it kept too many words away. Now I am leaving the unwritten untitled, until it grows into a name.

I love stories.  I write little bits of mine here, just every now and then.

I'm Katie.

I studied English in college and for a semester of graduate school.  Two years ago, I realized I loved teaching language arts and literature more than I loved to study it, so I took a semester off and enrolled in a master of arts in teaching program.  I now teach sixth grade language arts.

Cory and I met in college--actually, during a summer break (for him) and summer classes (for me), to be precise--and married in 2010.  He's the left brain to my right brain.  I'm an INFP; he's an INTJ.  Opposites attract.

I'm from Wisconsin.  I've lived in Kentucky most of my life, though, so you only hear the Milwaukee in me when I'm very, very tired.

You can follow me on instagram or twitter for more regular posts, but most of them are of and/or about my dog.  Don't say I didn't warn you.

I use too many gerunds and helping verbs.  Sorry.
