why untitled, unwritten?

I once labeled everything before it was written, until I found it kept too many words away. Now I am leaving the unwritten untitled, until it grows into a name.

No. 1

When I come across an image without a title, I want to know the whole story.  Why wasn't it named?  Is it simply because it was one image of many, or because the creator didn't know what to name it?  Names are a tricky thing, after all.  They have to be right.  They are a representation of the real but not the real itself.  Still, they're often what draws us to something or away from it.

What story is behind this photo, and why wasn't it recorded?  Did it seem too ordinary at the moment?

I adore ordinary stories.  They are the ones that make up our lives.

I so agree! I honestly have so. much. trouble. naming things -- poems, books, photos, blog posts... There's something special and important in the act of naming.

Oh my! Why is it so hard. I have the same trouble, I think it's just a matter of time either to decide a name or to be ok with the one you chose.
