why untitled, unwritten?

I once labeled everything before it was written, until I found it kept too many words away. Now I am leaving the unwritten untitled, until it grows into a name.

no. 4

Canopy beds are so dreamy.

My parents made a canopy for my bed when I was a little girl.  It was simple, silvery-gray painted two-by-four, with lace fabric stretched across the top and hanging down the sides, and we didn't take it with us when we moved.  With my canopied bed, I was Sara Crewe, or Felicity Merriman, a heroine-to-be.

This gorgeous bed, curtained with linen, is from a home in the south of France.  It looks as if it's an antique, or a historical home, but wouldn't it translate into a beautiful grown-up version of a little dreaming girl's canopy bed?  Can't you imagine writing poems and songs or dreaming of impossible things with all that linen draped around?

My mom's guest room is referred to as the princess room because there is a canopy bed inside. My nieces are in love with it. So cute!
